I got waitlisted for my nursing program.
This means that if a spot doesn’t open up for me for this intake (August), then I will have to re-apply and re-compete.
While it is a bummer that I wasn’t accepted, it might end up working better for me timing-wise. I’m planning on re-applying for next year’s August intake and assuming I will be accepted this time around, I would have enough time to finish my undergrad as well as improve my application.
I know that nursing is where I want to go so it’s just a matter of time. 🙂
This post won’t be about the baker’s event I went to, instead it’ll just be another food photo filled post again. XP
Here, have some coffee~
My Uncle had a short stay with us for a layover so it was a lot of good food in 2-3 days.
We took him to Cafe Medina for breakfast, French inspired (?) brunch place where I first went with my mom for Mother’s day. They don’t accept reservations, so during peak breakfast/brunch hours, it can get quite busy and you may have to line up for some time. We were lucky that it wasn’t too busy yet as we went early, but when I first went with my mom, we waited around 45minutes.
I got that the first time I went to Medina Cafe and it was delicious. If you’re looking to share though, this dish may prove difficult.
My dad got the cheese frittata. I had a bite of it and it was really good. The kind of frittata changes from day-to-day, but I may try this next time I go again. ;D
This was what I got this time. And to be honest, I wasn’t quite sure how to eat it. If I supposed to eat the proscuitto together with the avocado and tomatoes or what. I wasn’t a big fan of the tomatoes either.

We went to Minami Restaurant for dinner. I had originally wanted to make reservations at Miku, but it was closed due to their move to a new and bigger location, so I made reservations at their sister restaurant that I had never been to before but was assured would have similar dishes.
I have to say that their oshi (pressed) sushis are always what I look forward to the most. That melt-in-your-mouth-goodness is indescribable and heavenly. *_____*
Their rolls are really good too! I like the sauces that they use for their sushi. You don’t even need soy sauce and the flavours are incredible!
A good sample of their aburi so you can get a feel for which you like best. Good if its your first time and you don’t quite know what tickles your fancy yet.
I had wanted to order the Miku Roll, but they sold out so I tried this one instead. It was really good as well, but I liked the miku roll more.
And that concludes this food post. 😀
Should have more things to blog about soon as I’ll be attending some anime conventions (actually just went to one last weekend but I was quite lazy with the photo taking… oops) and will try my hand in cosplay for the first time! XD
Until next time~ <3
I like that Maccha Latte!
It looked better than it tasted. There was too much milk and not enough caffeine in it in my opinion. XP
