It’s been ages since I played with my own dolls and took some photos of them.
It was a slightly overcast day with only 30% chance of rain and I had a rare free day, so off I went with Aki in one hand and my camera in the other.
It was really nice to get out and walk around. It’s been months since I was able to actually walk around outside with the bf. ^w^
It was a bit chilly, but walking around carrying Aki (he ain’t light!) and my camera kept me warm.
We garnered quite a bit of friendly interest this time (and only one “that’s kinda scary!” comment from a young kid).
It was mostly the older folks who took polite interest in Akihiko. An older couple even stopped us when the bf was holding Aki, saying “Can I talk to your girlfriend? Not her, but the smaller one in your arms!”.
The bf laughed and told the old gentleman that the doll is a boy. The couple asked us a few questions, and of course, the “how much?” question inevitably popped up.
I used to be really self-conscious when going out with my dolls to take photos and stuff. I would be worried about how people would stare or if they would come up to me and say something mean in my face. But after being in this hobby for quite a few years, I’ve had more positive responses than negative (I’ve had one old lady saying I’m too old to play with dolls XD). And at this point, I really don’t care what strangers say or think about me anymore concerning my hobbies that I love. 😀
This long weekend was a much needed break, but I didn’t end up getting anything done when I really should have… orz
I guess… back for work for me now. ^^;;
As always, thanks for viewing and the rest of the photos can be found here
