It’s a little bit late but I’d like to try doing end-of-the-month wrap-up posts to just go over what I’ve done in the past month. Kind of like a reflection post of sorts? And to also highlight anything that might have happened or random thoughts and feelings.
February was quite a busy/hectic month for me.
I had a job interview, went to Seattle, had visiting relative from out-of-town, had my graduation, and went to Las Vegas!
Job Interview
I am now a holder of two degrees, a BA in Psych and now a BSc in Nursing… Usually, the responsible thing to do would be to go and work as a registered nurse. The job market is promising, the pay is good, and the rewarding feeling you get when your patient shows their appreciation for the care you’ve provided.
But no, instead, I had chosen to go down a different path that is much more irresponsible but is something that I have wanted to do since my teens. The timing was never right or I never had the guts to do it. But now that I’m older and having been in closer contact with things like life and death throughout my nursing studies, I’ve decided to just follow what my heart wants to do. Of course, I still can’t help but care about what other people and society may think (especially family and friends), but as selfish as this may sound… It is my life. I should be able to do what I want if I am capable of it and certain life conditions allow it to be.
So I went through a lengthy multi-stage job application and interview process. The actual group and one-on-one interview wasn’t very difficult but it was certainly a very long day.
I won’t go into details but I got the job! And as I had mentioned in my last post, I’ll be moving to Nagoya this summer!
Seattle
My parents drove down to Seattle with me and we spent two days and one night there. Didn’t really do too much.
Went to Pike Place for dinner at The Crab Pot.
Must say I was a little bit disappointed though :/
And then the rest of the month was spent with my visiting relative. Going for food with her and then to Vegas.
One of her main reasons for someone all the way to Canada was for my graduation. So while at the time, I was so done with nursing I didn’t even want to go to the graduation anymore, I went anyways. lol
Went to another escape room, this time the theme was being locked inside a crashed aircraft on a deserted island. We were SO CLOSE to making it out! We were at the last clue TAT
Las Vegas
I think the last time I went to Vegas was maybe 3-4 years ago with friends. This time we were there for 4 nights and we mostly watched shows
Had two buffets! A brunch buffet on our first day and then a dinner buffet. So much food.
This fish and chips was pricey but so good!
