.:Day 2 – Disney Sea:.
First breakfast in Japan. Chocolate bread from the combini
Going back through the trip photos I really wish now that I had my Fujifilm x-a1 camera during the trip. I would have been able to take a lot more better photos. D:
After a long train ride where we had to switch trains… once I think? We finally arrived! Figuring that food in the park would be overpriced, we got some grub at Beck’s first.
Melon pan that we never ended up getting even though we said we would when we we leave.
To get into the park you need to take their Disney Resort Line which basically goes in a loop, taking you to Disney Sea, their resort and Bayside Station.
Adorable Mickey Mouse handlebars and windows!
We bought vouchers the night before at a Lawson just in case we ended up having to line up. So after we arrived, we went to a ticket window to get our vouchers exchanged to these passes!
As forecasted, the park certainly wasn’t packed. That’s not to say that there weren’t line ups and crowds, but for Disney Sea standards, the crowds were fairly thin. Fast passes for the Toy Story ride were still sold out though and it had the longest line up time of about 90 minutes I believe, which is considered short!
It was supposed to be slightly drizzly that day. So we we kept hoping for the storm to come but despite the clouds, it remained muggy the entire day. It wasn’t so much our jetlag as we had a good nights sleep the night before, but the heat really sucked the energy out of us. We ended up not going on all the attractions and leaving the park around 4-5pm.

After the long transit back out to Ikebukuro, we headed home to escape the heat and recharge in our air conditioned apartment. But of course not before stocking up on some refreshments at the corner 7-11. 😀
Kanjani8’s Eito Ranger 2 movie was coming out so there were posters of them everywhere. They’re also the talents for 7-11’s onigiri so I saw them and had the chance to buy their eito goods at the 7-11s everywhere. ^^
Our apartment was on the same stretch as a neighborhood park where a lot of stray cats liked to gather. Most of the neighbors would have these spikes on their ledges so the cats couldn’t lay there. Where we stayed, there was a small awning right in front of our door and we didn’t have any spikes on our walls so it seemed the cats liked to loiter around our place. The first few night or two, the cats made a LOT of noise. Fighting over territory??
After resting and when the temperature had cooled down outside, we ventured out again in search of dinner. Sunshine City was our choice as it was relatively close, air conditioned, and we knew they had a nice selection of restaurants inside. After walking around to see all our choices, we went to Tamago to Watashi (Egg and I) where I’ve been to once during my last Tokyo trip.
This was Sir Durr’s. I don’t remember what he ordered. Some gratin? Or hamburg with omelette on top??
Mines was the lasagna gratin.
I was surprised that there was potatoes in the lasagna. It was really filling.
Of course making it into a set is the only way. So our entrees each came with our choice of drink and a dessert. This is my fondant au chocolat with vanilla ice cream. Superb.
Sir Durr’s cheesecake which I remember he really enjoyed.
That’s the end of Day 2. I really should have started blogging about this trip earlier as I am already forgetting everything. Oh well, hope you enjoyed the blurry pictures? XD
